House Progress

The siding and trim is pretty much done on the front and sides of the house.  I can't wait until the columns are built, I think it will add a lot to the house.

I'm really happy with how the front door and trim turned out (the trim is obviously not painted yet).

The wall and cap are almost done too.  There's Crew in a weird position after doing his new 360 degree turn "trick."

Crew's bathroom.  The grout is drying on the floor.

A glimpse of the girl's bathroom tile and floor.  At first I was really worried that I wouldn't like the tile and the floor together but now that it's in, I'm really happy with how it turned out.  That's George, one of the tile installers on the floor.  When I mentioned to him that I liked the floor, he responded by saying "Well, I'm glad someone does!"  I guess he and I don't share the same taste :), he thinks it's "too busy."

The master bathroom shower.  Our tile installer, Brian (George's brother), who isn't a fan of my taste either (he kept telling me gray was out when I was choosing tile), suggested adding a row of glass tile about 3/4 of the way up the wall.  I am really happy with how it's turning out!

Here are Brian, Jim and Crew.  Jim and Brian have a mutual fishing interest so most of their conversation involves the best way to catch fish.  That's when I tune out.

The pantry.  It looks really small to me with these doors in it.  We tried to utilize the space on the left by putting in really narrow shelves with a small ledge (to keep things from falling off).  I'm not sure what I'll store here but I'm sure I'll think of something.
