My brother and his family live in New City, New York and we were so lucky to be able to go visit them this summer. Of course we were excited to see Wil, Alicia and Jaxon, but coming in a close second (for the kids) was swimming the amazing swimming pool in their backyard.
This picture pretty much sums up how Hailey felt most of the time.
She loves the water, definitely true to her Pisces astrological sign.
Jim doing laps...
Crew was on the sidelines most of the time...
but did venture in with the help of his fun Uncle Wil.
The girls loved playing with Jaxon.
There is a little pond right behind Wil and Alicia's backyard with a nice walking path that goes around it.
The kids had fun trying to skip rocks...
and looking for bugs and frogs and whatever else lives there.
Everything was so lush and green!
The kids are pros at husking corn and boy was it good corn (you would've been in heaven mom)!
Grandpa is always good for some comic relief.
It was so fun sitting around the fire, roasting marshmallows, talking and just hanging out.
We took one day to visit Liberty Science Center which is just outside of NYC, near the Statue of Liberty, hence the name. This was on the way there. Grandpa likes to make the most of sunroofs.
We figured this counted as seeing the Statue of Liberty, close enough, right?
Grandpa couldn't wait...getting incontinent in his old age.
These fish were HUGE! They are actually fish like this in the Hudson River!
They had some great exhibits...this one is where you can do spray paint graffiti.
There was a whole section on skyscrapers and there was an actual beam from the World Trade Center.
I love this picture of Crew and Jaxon. Crew didn't interact with him much but when he did it was adorable. I was so glad to capture this look on his face.
Hailey and Paige, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of their cousin. For the most part they were good little babysitters (aside from letting him play with plastic bags which we quickly removed right after taking the picture).
Isn't he so adorable?
We were sad to leave. Thanks Wil and Alicia for a wonderful time! You were great hosts!
